It is important to take care of your teeth when you are young so they are healthy and strong when you are an adult. February is Dental Health Month. The Southwest Virginia Health Department recommends people follow these suggestions:
· Brush twice daily with a small amount of fluoride toothpaste,
· Use a soft toothbrush to clean teeth and gums,
· Avoid soda and energy/sports drinks that contain sugar - drink more water,
· Get dental sealants on teeth to prevent cavities
· Learn to use dental floss daily,
· Wear a mouth guard to protect teeth while playing sports and
· Have regular dental check-ups, at least once a year.

The 3rd annual Marathon Jam rocks the Tri-Cities this weekend. The event is this Saturday, February 22nd from noon until midnight. The international fund raising event will benefit the Fisher House Foundation. The event will be held at the Hacienda Los Limon at 329 Eighth Street in Bristol, TN.
