Public reprimand for Tennessee judge
Updated On: Apr 12 2013 04:34:08 PM CDT
A circuit court judge in Tennessee's third district has received a public censure and public reprimand from the Tennessee board of judicial conduct.
According to the board, Judge John Wilson’s censure was for conduct during a 2011 deposition that was "intemperate, argumentative, disruptive and not in conformity with acceptable judicial conduct."
Wilson’s reprimand is the result of an improper hearing and decision in a parenting case that took place outside the courtroom.
Wilson must appear before the board at its august meeting.
The third judicial district serves Greene, Hamblen, Hancock and Hawkins counties.
