A varicocele could impact a man’s fertility, according to the Mayo Clinic.

The Mayo Clinic states that a varicocele is an enlargement of the veins in the scrotum. This can cause decreased sperm quality and low sperm production.

However, according to the Mayo Clinic, not all varicoceles affect sperm production.

Most varicoceles don’t require treatment. In some cases, according to the Mayo Clinic, surgery may be needed.
