Family of four loses home in fire

It was a devastating loss in Hawkins County, Tennessee after a late-night fire tore through a family's home, destroying everything inside.
Smoke is still billowing from the Walters family home in Stanley Valley, and flames are still crackling.
The family visited their home Thursday to look at the damage after a fire Wednesday night tore through their home. "We lost everything," said Christy Walters.
The family of four is now staying at a hotel with help from the American Red Cross. That's where we caught up with them and learned it was a neighbor that called 911 while the family was away. "He had seen lightning strike the house and said it was like a boom, it just exploded," added Walters.
Because the family only has the clothes on their back, friends and their church are stepping in to collect donations. "My first thought is sadness and then it turns to a blessing. The blessing that they weren't there," said Pastor Wayne Riner.
Sadly, the Walters say they have no home insurance and can't afford to rebuild. They say their faith will help them pull through this devastating time. "We're just praying and leaving it in the Lord's hands," added Walters.
