9/11 inspires nation's capital protests

WASHINGTON (CNN) -

The nation's capital was the scene of dueling protests on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The so-called "Two Million Bikers" were protesting the "Million Muslim March."

However, nowhere near 1 million people showed up for either event.

It was planned for more than a year. But the "Million Man March Against Fear," formerly known as the "Million Muslim March," turned out closer to a dozen people. More media showed up than protesters.

The idea was to rally against fear, particularly against the fear of Muslim people.

Despite the low turnout, the protest spawned other protests, like one made by a group of Christians.

But the largest group came on motorcycles. The bikers said they came to stand in solidarity with Sept. 11 victims.
