A Denver man put every other guy to shame recently, proposing to his girlfriend using 8,000 Post-it Notes.

Brett Beutler of Littleton wrote "I love you" on each of the little three-by-three-inch squares of paper and wallpapered them to the wall of girlfriend Megan Loosli's front room, Denver TV station KUSA reported.

He then spelled out "Will you marry me?" by pasting brightly-colored sticky notes over the top.

Beutler's father helped him with the time-consuming project, which had to be done before Loosli got home from work. They used a chair to wallpaper right up to the ceiling and took great care to work around windows and other room features, according to The Daily Mail.

Thankfully, the hard work paid off.

Loosli said "yes." No wedding date has yet been set.
