The stories have all been told, and the tents will soon be packed away, but organizers tell News 5 this year's storytelling festival was a hit.
We're told the rain didn't put a damper on folks coming out to the 40th annual National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee.
The International Storytelling Center hasn't crunched all the numbers just yet, but we're told this year looks like it's been a good one. "The numbers are definitely up from last year, so we are very hopeful that this will continue growing in that way," said Connie Regan-Blake, a storyteller at the festival.
Organizers tell News 5, they hope this successful year helps to ease their financial troubles. The ISC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year.
