An investigation is underway after a local restaurant caught fire Friday evening.
Crews responded to the Burger King on Volunteer Parkway just before seven o'clock tonight and found smoke coming from the roof and ceiling as well as filling the restaurant.
Firefighters tell us they found a broiler caught fire pulling the flames into some duct work and then catching a portion of the roof on fire.
The blaze was contained quickly but smoke damage is expected to keep the restaurant closed for a while.
Fire inspectors will begin a more thorough investigation next week to determine exactly what happened.
