BRISTOL, Va. -

After a unanimous vote from the board, the Crisis Center will keep its doors open as long as they are able.

Della McGuire, the Crisis Center's Volunteer Coordinator tells News 5 since the community meeting, they've seen an outpour of volunteers and people willing to help in any way they can, giving them hope that they can continue on.

"For the community to really realize this is something we need and there's a chance it's going to be gone, maybe we should step up and that's what they've done," said McGuire.

McGuire tells us they hope to bring in more money by fundraising so they can continue to help everyone in our community.
