Deadline extended to help victims of Hurricane Sandy

United Way officials have announced that due to overwhelming response, they will extend their supply drive to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

The new deadline for those who want to participate is November 15 at 5 p.m. You can drop items off at the United Way Virginia Highlands Abingdon Office located at 201 Preston Street.
