Jackson, Tenn. fighting identity theft

A community document shredding is being held by law enforcement officials of Jackson, Tennessee in order to combat identity theft.
Officials will be joined by members of the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security’s Identity Crime Unit at the event which is being held at the Madison County Sheriff’s Office on Friday.
Community members are being allowed a two-box maximum of documents they want to shred, not including cardboard or non-paper items. The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
