Johnson City commission and school board election results

Voters in Johnson City, Tennessee headed to the polls Tuesday to make their voices heard in three races.
In Tuesday's election, voters were electing new city commissioners and school board members. Here are the latest results:
Seven people were seeking two seats on the commission. Jenny Brock won more than 29 percent of the vote and David Tomita had more than 28 percent, making them the newest commissioner-elects.
Five seats were up for grabs in the school board race. Seven people were vying for the four, four-year terms on the school board. Kathy Hall, Dick Manahan, Tom Hager and John Hunter have won those seats. Each had at least 15 percent of the vote.
Sheila Cox has won the unexpired two-year term with the school board, with more than 58 percent of the vote against her sole competitor's 41 percent.
