Even though mother nature has been unpredictable the last few weeks, one thing is for sure: the winter weather has taken a toll on roads in our region.
News 5 caught up with a crew with the Tennessee Department of Transportation patching potholes on Highway 93 in Sullivan County.
We've learned road crews will be out nearly every day the next few months looking for potholes and fixing them.
Crews are using a cold mix and cement for repairs. "Anytime we use cold patch, it's a temporary fix. Then when we can get hot asphalt, then that's more of a permanent fix," said TDOT Supervisor David Lewis.
We've learned both state and county road crews across the Tri-Cities are busy repairing potholes as well.
