Salon owner accused of breaking into competitor's business

COEBURN, Va. -

A salon owner in southwest Virginia is accused of being involved in a break-in at another salon in the same town.

Coeburn Police Chief Scott Brooks told News 5 this afternoon that Dwayne Gilmer Castle faces four felony charges.

This after someone broke into the Kurl Up and Dye hair salon in Coeburn and stole more than $7,000 worth of products and tools.

Brooks said the break-in happened over the March 23rd weekend.

News 5 discovered that Castle owns the Changes Salon in town.

He is charged with one count of Conspiracy to Commit Grand Larceny, one count of Conspiracy to Commit Break and Enter at nighttime, one count Accessory to Commit Grand Larceny and one count of Accessory to Break and Enter at Nighttime

Chief Brooks said the investigation is ongoing and that a man and woman from Wise County are also likely going to be charged.
    
Castle posted a $3,000 secured bond and is scheduled to be back in court May 2nd at 9 a.m. in Wise County General District Court.
