It's been two days since the deadline to file your taxes and some people are still scrambling, trying to avoid steep penalties.
We spoke to a local tax service who says they've had several late filers come in, some with extensions and some without.
Joey Smith with Liberty Tax Service says past due filers are normal and are expected every year. "We have that happen a lot, even a couple weeks, three weeks after. They just didn't get it done. We help them get it done and make it as easy as possible for them," said Smith.
We learned the IRS would consider reducing penalties if you can show a reasonable cause for being late.
