Three homeless men charged with arson

BRISTOL, Va. -

A joint investigation into two suspicious Bristol fires, including one that left a family's home a total loss, has resulted in the arrests of 3 subjects on arson and breaking and entering charges.

The investigation was conducted by the Bristol, Virginia Police and Fire Departments.

On February 27, 2013, a residence on Lewis St. was broken into and set on fire. The structure was a total loss. Click here to read that report.

On March 3, 2013, an unoccupied house on Vermont Ave. was broken into, set on fire, and sustained minimal damage. Click here to read that report.

The investigation revealed that the three suspects were acquaintances of the victim who resided at the house on Lewis Street, and, being reportedly homeless, they sometimes slept in the unoccupied Vermont Ave. house.

Each of the following subjects was charged with two counts of Breaking and Entering, and two counts of Arson. They are all being held in the Bristol, Virginia Jail without bond.

Jeremy Edward Ball, Carlos Wayne Bradley, and Ross Nicholas Culbertson were all charged with breaking into the buildings and starting the fires.
