Ten new trees planted their roots in a local city Friday.
Every spring and fall, trees are planted in Kingsport recognizing and remembering loved ones through the Tree Fund.
On Friday a combination of maple and dogwood trees was planted at Domtar Park.
Trees are purchased through donations which allow families to leave a living legacy.
"This is a lasting tribute so folks can come out and visit the area where the trees were planted in memory of their loved one, and we also have folks in honor of," said Robin Cleary with Keep Kingsport Beautiful.
The Tree Fund was created in 1986. Since then, we've learned more than 600 trees have been planted throughout Kingsport.
