Virginia's legislature returns to work Wednesday with a to-do list that could have some major changes on the state.

The 2013 Virginia General Assembly is expected to make decisions on a number of bills.

Some of those include taxes paid for building and road repairs, paying teachers more but making it easier to fire them and determining if uranium will be mined in southside Virginia.

A number of others may restrict contraceptives, require public schools to let home-schoolers on their sports teams and to further limit voter identification for the state.
