HAMPTON, Tenn. -

National coverage of Amanda Berry's kidnapping and rescue continued as early morning national newscasts interviewed Berry's grandmother Fern Gentry again.

"It's a miracle that she's back with us," said Gentry. Click here to read our first interview with her.

It's been a hectic week for family members of Amanda Berry as the media begs them for more interviews. Local neighbors of Fern Gentry told us they were surprised when they saw the story on TV. "I said, 'Oh! There’s Fern!'" said one neighbor we interviewed.

Jean Trivett tells us their street is typically quiet, but not this week. "We don't have too much traffic out here. This is the most traffic we've had out here in a long time," said Trivett.

Trivett tells us they're watching all of the media attention unfold from a distance and trying to stay out of the way. "We let them do their thing and we do ours," said Trivett.

A family friend, who didn't want to go on camera, tells us they weren't expecting the media attention, especially not nationally. We're told their phone hasn't stopped ringing.

Trivett says friends have even been calling them to give messages to Gentry. "Friends of mine have called and said to tell her if I talk to her that they were really happy for her and glad [Amanda] is still alive," said Trivett.

The family friend says they've been patient with the media, but after this morning they are through with interviews and just want time to heal. "You can make it, day by day, one day at a time," said Gentry.

The family friend says Amanda is expected to visit soon, but tells us they aren't sure when. Gentry has only spoken to Amanda Berry once since she escaped.
