Kingsport Dog Park hosts "Howl-o-ween" event

KINGSPORT, Tenn. -

Friends of the Kingsport Dog Park, Inc. will be hosting the Howl-O-Ween party and SBK (Sullivan County, Bluff City, Kingsport Animal Control Center Inc.) adoption event on October, 19, 2013 from 1 PM to 4 PM.

The park is located beside Hunter-Wright Stadium at 801 Granby Road in Kingsport.

There will be prizes for the most obedient dog, best trick and of course, best canine costume.

The following is a list of just some of the participants who will be there:

SBK (Kingsport & Blountville Animal Shelters)
Police K-9 Team demonstration
Sullivan County Humane Society
Andes-Straley Animal Hospital
Chloe’s Treasures
Miss Kingsport 2013
Professional Artist Stephanie Sakowicz
The Railroad Angels musical group
Professional Photographer Charlene Morton

The purpose of this event is to raise funds for the dog park. They also hope to collect donations of food, blankets and other needed items for the SBK shelters.

SBK will have dogs for adoption and provide micro-chipping services at a very low cost.

Admission is free. 

The event will be held just outside the gates of the park. 

Those who would like to take their pets inside the park will have to bring proof of Bordatella, Rabies, Distemper and Parvovirus vaccination.
