Coeburn, Virginia residents could be seeing a change in their water in the next few weeks.
We learned the town is working to replace water lines that are nearing 35 years of age. They tell us the new PVC pipes will protect the drinking water better and keep it from leaking, all while giving customers better water pressure.
Coeburn mayor Jess Powers tells News 5 they're asking for patience from the public. "We've had a few complaints about the water being out for a few hours or the water may be a little brown. Once they turn it on and you put in a new line, you have to flush the system out," said Powers.
If you have any questions about the work, you can call Coeburn Town Hall at 276-395-3323.
