NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A world record attempt will be happening in the Volunteer State's capitol.

Court reporters will try to beat a world record of 360 words per minute during the meeting of the National Court Reporters Association in Nashville.

The competition begins at 4:30 Thursday afternoon at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center.

News 5 has learned the current record holder will be one of the six contestants trying for a new record.
