The search for a Johnson County suspect sought in a shooting incident early Tuesday ended with more gunfire as he and another man were taken into custody Thursday afternoon.
The arrest followed a chase and a carjacking near the scene of the first shooting.

Richard Shane Mabe was taken into custody following a chase and gunfire that began with a 911 call from McDonald's in Mountain City, where he was spotted in the drive-thru.
County Sheriff Mike Reece was quick to react. "We notified [the Mountain City Police Department] and by the time I got to my car, by the time my officers were exiting the parking lot, the city was in pursuit and said he was running," Reece said.
Reece said he was not only running, but firing at the officers behind him as the chase went down Old Highway 91 towards Damascus, Virginia. "Two of my officers were stationary on 91," Reece said. "As he passed those officers he shot at them."
Mabe and another man Timothy Lee Greer of Creston, North Carolina, then stopped at the Silver Lake Market with police still in pursuit. "Both of them came out with guns in their hands and carjacked a car from a boy there," Reece explained. "[They] started out of the parking lot at that time and one of my officers rammed them."
They still didn't stop, but they were forced off the road a few hundred yards down Highway 91.
Sheriff Reece was pleased that a confrontation didn't occur at the market. "I was really happy when he carjacked the car, as bad as it is, and proceeded on the highway because there were several people in the this market. It has a deli in it and they were having lunch. It could have really went bad," he told us.
Mabe suffered a wound to his right arm and was treated later that afternoon.
Both he and Greer will be held at the Johnson County jail. Both facing a long list of charges.
