FOOD DRIVE PREVIEW
BRISTOL, Tenn. -

You can expect something extra in your mailbox this week and we're not talking about a letter.

The next few days letter carriers will be placing brown or plastic bags in your mailbox with the hopes you'll stock it full of non-perishable food items.

It's for next Saturday's Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Sherri Hinkle, the Food Drive Coordinator, says if you'd like to donate it's simple, "It could just be hanging there at your mailbox or below your mailbox. If your mailbox is at the street, we would prefer that they put the food inside the mailbox. If they can't, they can try and hang it from the mailbox."

All of the food collected will stay right here in the Tri-Cities and help local charities stock the shelves.

Bags of food will be collected Saturday May 11th.
