A father is dead and his two sons are injured after a crash in Carter County.
The accident happened around 7 p.m. Saturday evening in a construction zone on Gap Creek Road near Tester Road, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP).
Carter County Sheriff Chris Mathes tells us the truck went off the road and down an embankment, flipping several times.
The driver of the truck, 37-year-old Joey Greenwell, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the truck, according to THP.
Both boys, ages 9 and 14, had their seat belts on and are expected to be okay.
