A 10-year-old girl is living a fuller life thanks to the Make-A-Wish foundation.
They held a celebration at the Pizza Inn in Greeneville Monday evening.
10-year-old Haylee Trammell suffers from a mitochondrial disease, which keeps her from walking, and she can only communicate non-verbally.
Her parents contacted Make-A-Wish to say Haylee wants to get out more, so they gave her a chairlift. Now she can get in and out of the family van.
"She loves to go travel, but with the lift it makes it much easier because we were having problems getting her in and out of the van. She gets to go more and she loves it," said Anita Trammell, Haylee's mother.
The chairlift would have cost $7,000, but Haylee got one free.
Haylee looks forward to getting out more. This weekend they plan to go to Bays Mountain in Kingsport.
