Search continues for drive-by shooting suspect

 Deputies have arrested one man who they say shot into four homes on Monday evening, according to Carter County Sheriff Chris Mathes.

CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. -

One suspect is in custody, and another is still on the run after two people were shot in Carter County late Monday night.

Sheriff Chris Mathes tells News 5 five homes were hit in a drive by shooting.

The shooting took place at Dry Creek and Sciota Road.

Sheriff Mathes says one person was taken to the hospital.

Their condition is unknown at this time.

After officers arrived on scene, Sheriff Mathes says two suspects got out of their car and ran, "They both fled on foot, we got in behind them before we could get them stopped, so they fled in the woods so were able to catch one."}

The captured subject is Michael Brummitt.

His cousin Tommy Brummitt is still on the loose
