Police: Meth operation found in back seat of car

KINGSPORT, Tenn. -

Kingsport Police say they discovered a meth manufacturing operation in the back seat of a car.

Officers say early Sunday morning they found a couple sitting in a car in a gas station parking lot on Sullivan Gardens Parkway.

Inside the car, police found chemicals and equipment used to make meth.

Police tells us 39-year-old Chad Horton and 36-year-old Brandy Landwerth now face drug charges.

Horton is also charged with  identity theft and was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
