MOUSE'S EAR
WASHINGTON CO., Tenn. -

Washington County, Tennessee will not allow an adult business to rebuild at its original location in Gray.

The Mouse's Ear exotic sports bar on Highway 75 burned back in January. Click here to read more.

The owner, Ralph Browning, applied for a building permit this week but was denied.

County Zoning Administrator Mike Rutherford says that's because current zoning laws will not allow the owner to rebuild in the same spot. "If your structure is damaged by fire or other disaster 75 percent or more, you may not re-establish it. So the use of the land will revert back from non-conforming to conforming now, as just B-3 General Business," he explained.

The owner could relocate in a manufacturing zone, but would not be allowed to sale alcohol; plus, he would have to meet other restrictions as well.

We spoke with the Ralph Browning, who says he is looking at his options.
