An investigation into a highway crash resulted in meth charges for three Carter County people, and officers are still looking for one of them.
Robert James Moffitt, Johnny Kay Hensley and Keri Ellen Baird are charged with promotion of meth manufacturing. Carter County officers say in October 2012, a crash on Highway 19-E claimed the lives of two-year-old Dalton Moffitt, 7-year-old Jonathan Nye and the children's mother Katarina Nye.
After an investigation, officers learned the children's father, Robert Moffit (pictured above), along with Johnny Hensley and Keri Baird, were buying items at a CVS pharmacy. Officers tell us those items were going to be used to make meth.
Carter County authorities say a fight between Katrina Nye and Robert Moffitt in the parking lot of the CVS led to the fatal crash.
Moffitt and Hensley have been arrested, but officers are still looking for Keri Baird.
If you know where she is located, you're asked to call the Carter County Sheriff's Office.
STILL WANTED: Keri Ellen Baird is wanted on charges of promotion of the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Johnny Kay Hensley was charged with promotion of meth manufacturing.
Robert James Moffitt was charged with promotion of meth manufacturing.
