Flooding took down power lines in Banner Elk, NC in early May.

The rainfall is causing some problems in the mountains of western North Carolina where the water is rising.

Avery County dispatch tells us close to 30 people had to be evacuated from the Land Harbor Buck Hill Campground Sunday night and Monday morning.

Officials say most of the creeks are out of their banks and the Linville River is also causing concern.

They tell us that no one is in danger or no injuries have been reported.
