Pet-sized oxygen masks donated
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -

A local doctor has donated nine pet oxygen kits to the Johnson City Fire Department.

Dr. Rebecca Copeland tells us a recent story about a dog being rescued from a fire compelled her to make the donation.

Every engine in the city will now be fully equipment to rescue pets. Each masks costs about $30.

Until now, the department used makeshift masks when trying provide oxygen for pets.

Firefighters will be trained to use the oxygen kits after the beginning of the year.
