Suspect wanted after deadly Kingsport shooting

KINGSPORT, Tenn. -

UPDATE: The search continues for a man accused of murder in Kingsport.

The shooting happened Monday night around 10:30 on the 800 block of Dale Street.

Kingsport Police Public Information Officer Tom Patton says the suspect in the shooting is 37-year-old Lucky Anthony Ross also known as 'Ant'.

Officers tell us Ross is a convicted felon.

He been arrested for forgery, theft, and identity theft.

We were on the scene as the home was taped off as police were investigating.

Marc T. Woodbury was killed.

Another shooting victim, Brandon D. Harris is in critical condition at Holston Valley Medical Center.

"Multiple family members and friends of the victims responded to Holston Valley Hospital obviously out of concern just due to the large volume of there was some security concerns at the hospital and those were addresses by hospital personnel," adds Patton.

Patton tells us Ross is still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Ross is being charged with 1st degree murder and attempted first degree murder along with other charges.

Police have not released any information on what led up to the shooting.

(Released for publication) On July 28, 2014 at approximately 10:30 PM, Kingsport Central Dispatch was notified of a shooting incident on Dale Street in Kingsport.

One shooting victim, Brandon D. Harris, was immediately transported by a private vehicle to Holston Valley Medical Center prior to police arrival.

Kingsport Police Patrol Officers responded to the scene and located a second shooting victim, Marc T. Woodbury lying in the back yard of the residence. Sullivan County EMS responded and transported Mr. Woodbury to Holston Valley Medical Center.

Mr. Harris sustained life-threatening injuries, requiring emergency surgery and is listed in critical condition. Mr. Woodbury succumbed to his injuries and died upon reaching the hospital.

KPD Detectives were summoned to the scene. Through their investigation, Lucky Anthony (a.k.a. “Ant”) Ross was developed as a suspect in the shooting. A warrant was obtained charging Mr. Ross with:

1) 1st Degree Murder
2) Criminal Attempt to Commit 1st Degree Murder
3) Possessing a Firearm During the Commission of, or Attempt to Commit, a Dangerous Felony
4) Unlawful Carrying or Possession of a Weapon

Mr. Ross is presently still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.
