Twister seen with flying debris

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. -

Homeowners are still cleaning up after a tornado destroyed homes and barns and uprooted trees.

EMA Director Jim Bean says 20 homes in Sullivan County were affected by the storm causing around $775,000 worth of damage.

Many homes owners are still out today putting up tarps, moving limbs, and cleaning up debris.

News 5 asked Bean if they could get any help from the state or federal government. He says there is a large amount of damage that has to add up before you can get assistance and that damage cannot include insured homes.
