Two teens die in Bristol crash

Two Tennessee High School students were killed in a tragic accident on Friday.


Two Washington County, Va. teens died Friday evening in a car crash.

Virginia State Police told us they were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash in The Reserve, a privately-owned, gated community.

A 2008 Toyota Prius was traveling north on Reserve Boulevard, then ran off the left side of the road and struck a large tree stump.

VSP said the cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Accord to VSP, the driver, Addison B. Looney, 17, died at the scene. His backseat passenger, Colton W. Taylor, 15, also died at the scene.  

The front-seat passenger, Charlie D. Arnie, 18, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

All three teens were wearing seat belts.

Fans at the Tennessee High-Volunteer football game Friday night held a moment of silence for the teens.

Peers who knew the victims told News 5 they all went to Tennessee High School.

Two of the victims were band members.
