BRISTOL, Va. -

Some people in our region were getting some extra resources Saturday thanks to a group of volunteers.

'Unsheltered International' does ministry work for the homeless and disaster relief.

Three different churches partnered up with the group to put on this event.

We're told 'Unsheltered International' is based out of Alabama, but travels all across the United States. They offer things like free haircuts, help write resumes, give out bibles, reading glasses, and offer hot meals.

We're told this is their first time in the Tri-Cities, but they hope to make it an annual event. "The churches are already talking about our plans for next year. So sometime around this time next year we'll come back and we'll do another big event here. Who knows, maybe we'll get to the place where we can do two a year here," president and founder Travis Sharpe says.

We're told over 75 volunteers helped with Saturday's event.
