KINGSPORT, Tenn. -

Dogs of all sizes were out at the Kingsport Town Center Saturday getting cleaned up.

Saturday was the fourth annual "Wash and Wag" event to benefit the Humane Society. People were lined up early to get their dogs a bath and their nails clipped.

The money raised will go to the spay and neuter project. We learned that's something that's important for everyone in our community. "This is critical; there are so many people in the area that can't afford to spay and neuter their pets. This is the way we can help people do that," says Tina Pasquale with the Sullivan County Humane Society.

There were also booths set up for people to get information about pets that are up for adoption.
