The Chicago Blackhawks announced Thursday that they will face off against the Edmonton Oilers in a preseason game on Sept. 28, 2014 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Chicago and Edmonton met once before in Saskatoon in 2011 with the Oilers winning 4-2 in front of a capacity crowd.

"The Chicago Blackhawks are excited about the opportunity to returning to Saskatoon -- one of Canada's true hockey communities," said Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman.

"The Edmonton Oilers look forward to returning to Saskatoon for a match-up against Chicago," said Oilers general manager Craig MacTavish. "We know we have a lot of Oiler fans in Saskatchewan and are excited to play Chicago in Saskatoon."
