BRISTOL, Va. -

Bristol Sox rookie pitcher Tyler Danish isn't used to giving up earned runs.

He didn't give up a single run his senior season at Durant High School in Tampa, Fla.

Danish was perfect as a pro for the Sox until Sunday night. He gave up an RBI single in the sixth inning of a 6-2 win.

It was his first earned run in 101 innings, dating back to his junior season of high school baseball.

"Just to think of 101 innings and not an earned run was scored," Danish told News 5 WCYB.

"It was a great run. I knew it was going to end sometime. Now I'll just try to start another one."

Danish was selected in the second round of the MLB draft last month by the Chicago White Sox.

The 18-year-old has appeared in three games this season for the Sox. He has a 1.80 ERA through five innings.
